Our Milestones
For over four decades, Asha Securities Limited has grown and evolved to become one of the most respected and trusted stock broking companies in Sri Lanka. Since 1982, we have proudly built our business step by step and are proud to be a pioneering member of the Colombo Stock Exchange.
Our partnership with the Phillip Capital Group of Singapore further enables us to extend our services to overseas investors. Our international desk at the Philip Securities Office in Raffles City, Singapore is well-equipped to manage their investment portfolios.

1982
Foundation
Founded as Mercantile Stock Brokers Ltd under the Companies Act No. 17 of 1982, beginning its journey in the Sri Lanka stock market.
1992
Allied Stock Brokers
The company was renamed Allied Stock Brokers, marking a key step in its evolution in the Sri Lanka stock market.
1993
SINGAPORE ALLIANCE
The company entered into a strategic partnership with Phillip Securities of Singapore, enhancing its global reach and strengthening its position in Sri Lanka’s capital markets.
1994
ALLIED PHILLIP SECURITIES
The company adopted the name Allied Phillip Securities Ltd, marking a new phase of its development within Sri Lanka’s stock broking sector.
1998
MMBL PHILIP SECURITIES
Following the majority stake acquisition by Mercantile Merchant Bank, the company was renamed MMBL Phillip Securities Ltd, refl ecting its continued evolution in Sri Lanka’s stock broking industry.
2003
ASHA SECURITIES BORN
Following the acquisition of a 59.22% stake by Mr. M. M. Udeshi, the company entered a new phase of ownership and strategic direction in Sri Lanka’s stock broking industry.
